Green Day: Rock Band Gets Release Date

Green Day: Rock Band will make its way to stores on June 8th, 2010, Reprise Records and the video game's makers have revealed.

The game is the latest edition of the popular music video game that allows fans to rock out to songs from their favorite artists on customized instrument controllers. What's more, the game allows fans to step into the shoes of the California punk-pop trio, as the avatars bare a striking similarity to the group's Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt.

Additionally, as gamers make their way through the game they will track the band's career, and get the chance to unlock over 100 collectible photos, plus more than 40 minutes of rare video culled from interviews, gigs and outtakes.

The game features a setlist of 47 tracks from throughout the band's career, including “Brain Stew,” “Jaded,” “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “American Idiot,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.”
