White Reveals New Dead Weather Album Progress

Jack White continues to remain hard at work balancing his variety of musical ventures, and now the rocker has revealed that more Dead Weather tunes are among his myriad projects.

"[The Dead Weather are] finishing recording the last couple of songs and then I’m going to start mixing in the next two weeks, so yeah it should be out in April,” White said.

Additionally, White added that he would be handling lead vocals on the lead single from the group's sophomore record, a tune called "Blue Blood Blues."

Speaking to Australian radio station Triple J in a telephone interview, White added that he's been busy at his Third Man Studios in Nashville, and even filmed 6 videos in the past week.

Regarding the sound of the new Dead Weather album, White remarked that it's "bluesier and heavier than we ever thought we could be.”

Additionally, he revealed that another of his Third Man "pop-up" record stores is scheduled to open in Austin, Texas for next month's SXSW Fest.
